Sometimes other see it / notice it first
Hey fam,
Just a little sharing on an experience.
One stroke survivor told me once, “I don’t think I am getting better.” Day after day felt the same to that survivor probably. And I think some of you or your loved ones can relate to this as well
But then a friend who hadn’t seen them in a while said, “You look much stronger in standing.” That was the first time they realised progress was happening—even if they couldn’t feel it themselves.
Sometimes recovery works quietly in the background. Because you live with it every day, it’s hard to notice the small steps. But others often see the changes first. And those little changes, stacked up over time, are what bring you forward.
Hope this gives you a little push for the week :)
With love,
BP
